New Begining

September already and what a way to start the Month. A good news perhaps!

At last.. finally got it.. Thank God.. After months of searching finally I got a job. I still need to accomplish some things before I can start my work.. Lots of stuffs needed..

What do I feel? Well mixed emotion, but one thing is for sure, at least I have a job and its a stable company. What do I expect? I don't know, but things would be different and everything would be new to me. I need to learn and hopefully to adjust well. I can't wait to start, for I really miss working. Looking forward to meet new friends and colleagues.

A month of searching

It's been almost a month of searching... Hopping and praying that I'll find one.. I guess that's really a part of life, where one's patience and faith is being tested.

I know whatever happens, I will always be Okay and able to surpass whatever circumstances I may face.
This is a time where I really have to think and make a decision that will make or break my future.

And its really a difficult thing to do. *sighs*

Well it’s been almost a month since a lost my job. So far I’ve been doing a lot of interviews and exams – and waiting for feedbacks. Well I’m just hoping I’ll find one soon.. I miss working…

I really hate spending time on a net café, for I have a very limited time (really expensive; I miss my pc).

Anyways to all Link Exchange – I’ll get back to you soon as I have time to check and visit your site; please do bear with me thanks.

Got to go..

Officially Jobless

Yeah you heard it right.. I’m officially jobless…

Things happened so fast.. right at this moment I’m unemployed..

Totally sucks… but then I guess that’s LIFE…

Boracay Count Down

Five days to go, five more days of sleep and I’m off to Boracay. Wow! I’ll be with my officemates/friends. Time flies really fast. I can still remember how impulsive we are and decided to buy/book a ticket, with no place or itinerary in mind. Yeah that’s how excited we are to have a vacation.

Am I ready? Hmmm.. I don’t know.. hehe. I have lots of things to prepare - my bags, clothes, money (for shopping and food, hehe) and others.

But what I’m really looking forward is the travel and time to relax and enjoy. I look forward seeing the sunset, breathing the cool breeze of the sea, white sand, food and of course lots of pictures.

I’m counting down the days… More stories and picture soon.. promise

Cheers to stress-free days…

Sunday’s Celebrations

June 15 is surely a date of celebrations.. First, it’s a Sunday, so to most people it’s a rest day as well as family day. But this year is more special since we also celebrates fathers day.

So may heartfelt greetings to all Dads’ in the world.

Happy Father’s Day!!!

How did we celebrate it? We cook lots of food and spend the day together. The menu: for breakfast we had bread (courtesy of my tita’s bakery), ham, bacon and egg, coffee and milk. For our lunch: mom and I cook somai, baked squid (c/o my sis), beef steak and grilled tilapia. We also had spaghetti for snack. We had soup and squid and pork for dinner. As for desert we had some peaches and gelatin. Wow as in lots of food. Food is love! Too bad my dad can’t eat well, but was really happy that day. Again Happy Father’s day Dad! Mwahh. Get well soon.

Another reason to celebrate – its Glady’s and Franc’s birthday.

(me and Glady Girl)

Glady – Who’s Glady? Glady is: Senadora of Marketing Dept, Glady girl to some, ate Glad, Glad, housemate, roommate a few words you can associate to her. One thing is for sure she’s a good friend.. *wink* She’s now celebrating her __ birthday, oppz I forgot her age, maybe you can ask her and visit her site to know her more at Glady Girl (I might not able to do my work if I’ll keep on talking, space may not be enough, hehe) Anyways, happy happy birthday Glad, by the way have you open the site that I gave you, it’s my gift,heheh..

Franc – one of the sweetest cousin I have. He’s really caring and thoughtful. Whenever he visits us, he sees to it that we all have a great time and spend quality time together. We may seldom see each other but then we’re really close. Happy Birthday Aco!!!!

It’s feels good to celebrate.. A simple and intimate celebrations with the loved ones is great and a moment to treasure.

The Art of Lying

My mind is pre-occupied with a lot of things – but I’m too lazy to write it/blog it.

Anyways, I’ve been thinking over things lately, and my head is spinning.. Gosh! How I hate it!
Suddenly, the word Lying came up. I don’t know what got into me and thought of that word. Hehe. Then lots of things/queries came. The kinds of lies, is there good in lying or how can you tell if someone is lying and etc.

Lying? Why do people lie? It’s really a wide/broad topic to discuss with. I for one doesn’t know where to start and how. Hehe.

Lies – To make a statement that one knows to be false, especially with the intend to deceive; To give a false impression; Anything that gives or is meant to give a false impression.

Kinds of Lies:

White lie - would cause no discord if it were uncovered and offers some benefit to the liar, the hearer, or both. used to avoid offense.
Bald-faced lie - a lie that is told when it is obvious to all concerned that it is a lie.
Lies of Omission - omitting an important fact, deliberately leaving another person with a misconception.
Lie-to-children - a lie that is told to make an adult subject acceptable to children.
Emergency lie - a strategic lie told when the truth may not be told because, for example, harm to a third party would come of it.
Perjury - act of lying or making verifiably false statements on a material matter under oath or affirmation in a court of law or in any of various sworn statements in writing.
Misleading - one where there isn't an outright lie, but still has the purpose of making someone believe in an untruth.
Exaggeration - occurs when the most fundamental aspect(s) of a statement is true, but the degree to which it is true is not correct.

Basic tell-tell signs:

1. Speaking quickly and excessive fluctuations in pitch of voice
2. Person becomes fidgety and hesitant when questioned on detail
3. Failure to make eye-contact

Check list to spot those tellers of tales:

  • Watch out for long pauses and stutters usually accompanied by slow speech
  • Less frequent mention of specifics such as place names, times, locationsA lie usually has more structure as the liar attempts to overcompensate by telling events in sequential or chronological order
  • Unnecessary finger pointing, nervous foot tapping, or exaggerated facial expressions of being falsely accused, are all common indicators.
  • A lie usually has more structure as the liar attempts to overcompensate by telling events in sequential or chronological order
  • The emotion conveyed in the lie should be consistent with facial expression, any slight inconsistencies usually indicate a falsehood
  • Liars often behave abnormally due to the added pressure of trying to convincingly lie, look out for signs of mental weariness and emotional strain as the lie progresses

"Tell a lie often enough, loud enough, and long enough and people will believe you."

A lie is not in the words, or lack of words; it's in the intention of the deceiver.

Friends of Mine

I have loots of friends – and really love them dearly. I haven’t spoke to some of them for years but really care for them a lot. I miss the times we’ve spend together laughing, crying to non-sense things even our little arguments. We’ll there’s no such perfect friendship.. There are times that friendship is put on a test. It really depends - how you friends handle such situation. I am so glad and thankful that though there are little differences and issues my friends and I encounter, we’re able to survive it and made the best out of it. We’re able to build a strong bond between us that no matter what happens in our way, we’ll always be friends and accept things the way it is.

Friends.. Its really good to have friends.. Lucky me to have Friends to cry on, to talk with or just knowing that you have a company even without uttering words.

Anyways, while cleaning up some stuff on my table, I found a CD – wondering what’s in it – I tried it – and found out that it was a collection of pictures and videos of my friends for the past years. It really melts my heart seeing those pictures and remembering the good times we had before. I really miss them.. (We’re all busy with our life now and we only see/gather if there’s an occasion.)

Miss you guys and looking forward spending more quality time together again soon. Meanwhile this song really meant a lot to us:

Count on Me

Chorus]

Count on me through think and thin
A friendship I will never end
When you are weak, I will be strong
Helping you to carry on
Call on me, I will be there
Don't be afraid
Please believe me when I say
Count on...

[Verse1]
I can see it's hurting you
I can feel the pain
It's hard to see the sunshine though the rain
I know sometimes it seems as if
It's never gonna end
But you'll get through it
Just don't give in cause you can...

[chorus]

[Verse2]
I know sometimes it seems as if
We're standing all alone
But we'll get though it
Cause love won't let us fall

[chorus]

There's a place inside of all of us
Where our faith in love begins
You should reach to find the truth in love
The answers there within, oh
I know that life can make you feel
It's much harder than it really is
But we'll get through it
Just don't give in

[chorus]

Whitney: count on
Ce Ce: Count on
Whitney: Count on
Ce Ce: Count on
Whitney: Count on
Ce Ce: Count on
Both: meeeeeeeee
Whitney: oh yes you can
Ce ce: no i can't
Whitney: Sure you can
Ce Ce: Oh yeah
Whitney: so glad i can
Ce Ce: Count on me
Whitney: Count on me Baby

Happy Blog-day to Me!!

(a gift given by Glady girl, thanks a lot!)

Happy 1st year anniversary to my Blog!

I still remember my first post – really don’t have an idea on what to post. Hehe. I’m really proud/ happy to have this blog of mine. This is my way of expressing myself. It has become my outlet whenever I feel sad, hurt or my non-sense stories, rants and been part of every celebration I had over the year.

What made me write a blog? Why iluvhubbes? Why anything goes?

I don’t know, hehe. I was inspired to blog partly because of my job – one of my tasks before was blog comenting – so I said why not try blogging. So got myself a blogger account and the rest is history.

I can’t think of a name at that time. My creativity sucks. I wanted it something unique or something nice. A lot of names came up into my mind but I’m not sure if it fits. (ang arte).

Then I remember something… and came up with – iluvhubbes.

Anything Goes – can’t think of a better title at that time and really can’t decide on what topic to write about, so I settled with Anything Goes as my title. True enough, my blog is kinda random when it comes to post – work, life, travel, rants and just about anything.

Its really nice to celebrate… and wishing many more blog writing years to come as well as off and online friends to meet..

Thanks everyone, especially my blog visitor (well assuming I have readers!).

Tagged time

tagged by: paul :)

You share 8 things that your readers don't know about you. Then at the end you tag 8 other bloggers to keep the fun going.

* each blogger must post these rules first.
* each blogger starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
* bloggers that are tagged need to write on their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
* at the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
* don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged, and to read your blog.

1. Afraid of Dogs
* yep, but now I’m learning to love them especially now that we own one – Charming (a st Bernard/chow-chow breed)

2. Left handed

* the only left-handed in the family
3. Stays at a boarding house
* yep, when I started working. :) (to save some bucks and less-travel time)
4. I don’t know how to draw
* hehe, well I’ve tried it but I think its not really my talent, though I appreciate arts a lot.. (ironic isn’t it)
5. Has allergy on detergent
* yep, well I tried doing our laundry before, something awful happened; I had some rashes and my body turned red and itchy. (kaya di na ko nag lalaba, especially if maramihan)
6. I don’t sing
* really! I don’t sing (love music but the music doesn’t love me, hehehe, how classical)
7. The eldest among 3 siblings
* too bad, my other siblings is taller than me :(
8. Love to study
* too bad I don’t have time to pursue my Masters Degree (though I still hope I’ll find time and finish it) wish me luck.

Dear mom and dad:

You may be strict sometimes, hehe but you really been a nice parents to us. You’re love for us is really unconditional.. I know a page of this blog is not enough to thank you both for all the things you’ve given us these past 25 years..
Anyways I love you mom and dad! I can tell the world and the whole blogsphere that I’ve been blessed with wonderful and loving parents.. I’m really proud of you both.

I love you! Cheers to 25 years and to the coming years together…

Ritz

Anyways before I make emo-mode and teary-eye, am gonna stop my open-letter to my parents.. eheh..

Days before my parents anniversary, my sister and I are thinking of what to do on this special day. Since we ran out of ideas, we ended up treating them at a resto. We had our dinner at South Ocean Villa. It was really an intimate dinner party. It was simple, sumptuous food (loveit! No diet for me,lolz)

It was really a good night and a celebration worth remembering.

Too much kindness will kill

Saturday again.. hehe.. How I hate this day..lolz. Well, basically Saturdays here means reports day.. so that’s lots a checking of stuffs and calculating.. anyway, enough of this rants..

I’ve been thinking of what to blog.. There are lots of things in mind but I don’t know or I’m not that in the mood to write it out. Haha (ang labo ko noh.) until a friend and I chatted..

Sab my ever dearest friend.. Well, if you’re a reader of this blog (well, assuming I have, haha) I’ve mentioned her name a couple of times in my previous post.. Anyways, we had a usual conversation a while ago.. Hi and Hello.. Musta? (how are you?) and other stuffs normal friends ask.. Anyways, this is not her lucky day.. She’s really pissed off.. To whom? Why? - to her friend (X friend, ahaha) .. whaat? Yeah, well she’s doing X friend a favor.. Sab known as friendly and “matulungin” and all (naks! pa cheese burger ka Sab) agreed to help her. She’s really trying her best to help X friend.. instead being grateful and thankful for all the help Saab had given her, X friend does all this “inarte mode” (what the…). Poor Sab… She's really sad and upset.. I can feel that..

My advise – sabunutan mo para tumino haha,, masyado kung nice noh, hehe.. Well, nakaka inis lang kasi na your helping her na nga pero anu.. Haiz, Sab, sometimes too much kindness will kill… as in.. Well, I don’t have a right to make “saw-saw” sa away nila, kaya lang super asar lang ako sa mga taong d marunong mag-appreciate or say thank you..

*to be continue*

Missing Again?!?

A couple of months ago, I’ve written something about missing barbeque.. Well too bad it happened again.. Yes, you heard it right.. The food is missing again – for the second time!!.. *sighs* I’m having second thoughts on leaving the food on the table but then I still left it.. When its time for us to eat, to our surprise the food was gone and the table is a mess. I don’t know if there’s a jinx or something.. rolleyes but every time we want to eat – something bad happens.. (it sucks!), especially now that I’m on a tight budget. Gosh! What a day! So we ended up buying another food.. What a waste of money.. How I wish it wouldn’t happen again – or else I’m not going to buy BBQ fo the rest of my life (haha.. it’s my favorite pa naman). Oops, kinda exaggerated.. hehe..

Moral story: Trust your instinct.

On a lighter note: I had a chance to chat with some of my colleagues back in college. It’s really nice to talk to them (YM chat).

I’m also counting down the days – Few more sleep to go and I’m off to my escapade.. Really excited about it, though I’m kinda worried on my finances, haha.. so if anyone willing to give me some extra money as for my “baon” it’ll be appreciated. Hehe.wink

Random - Updates

Sorry this post is kinda long, hehe.. Blog mode… :)

Saturday - I went home early. Why? – to see my dearest friend Ging. Well, we haven’t seen each other say almost a year or two, though we have communication thru sms/ text messages (not everyday, though). We only have half an hour talking, yeah too bad we had a little time to chat and catch things up. As in we really miss each other company. She’s one of the closest and cool friend I have ( as in she knows everything, v.v., hehe ). *sighs* How I miss the old days – we’ll be talking over the phone for more than an hour during late nights, laugh at each others joke, cry over things, do some stuffs.. (*sob). It was great to see her and mike. It’s kinda sad that she had to leave but then I know we’ll gonna see each other pa naman, hopefully soon (hehe). Anyways, I really wish them good luck, I know with God’s help, all plans will succeed. I’ll be praying for that. (guys, don’t forget the pasalubong and “ampon thing”, hehe)

I watched the Forbidden Kingdom together with my dad and siblings. It was a great movie. I miss mom (hope to see her soon, as well as my pasalubongs, heheh)

Sunday – Wake up late. Lazy day. Hehe. Super noisy, because of the sound system. There’s an event in our street, - a Mass and prayers then followed by games and dances.

I and my couz Che went shopping for some school supplies. We’ll be giving it out to some selected students; it’s our way of helping/reaching out to less fortunate kids, with the help of the Carmelites sisters. It really feels good to help even in the simplest way.. Anyways, more of that later.

Monday – A rest day for me, but not really a rest day. I wake up early and get dressed. My sister wants some company, so I have no choice but to join her. We went with our dad then dropped at the mall. We paid her bills and meet up our cousin Tin. Strolled and window shop, hehe. Then had our lunch courtesy of my sis (the food was great, it’s free kasi,eh). My cousin got a new blouse, I bought a mug and some pooh items and my sis got her Gossip Girl book 4 and 5. By 3pm my younger sis join us at a coffee shop (c/o my sis again) then later we transferred at McDo to grab some fries. Had some chit-chats while waiting for dad. Dropped by at my cousin house then went home. Since mom is not around, I’m in-charge with the kitchen. I’m the chef, (hehe, yabang noh, kidding aside, I really love to cook). After dinner, my mom called, she’s staying at my cousin house and cuddling my nephew (oh how I miss him, wish to see him soon.) It was really tiring day for me at the same time fun. One thing I missed doing this weekend? – visit my dentist (hopefully, next week)!

I really wish I had the time (lots of paper works at the office *sighs*) and be able to get my blog a new look.. something fresh and unique..

Anyways, maybe you guys can help me with this.. hehe.. I would really appreciate it..

Crazy Monday

What a way to start the week..

I know for a fact that Monday (May12) there would be a national transport strike, but then I wake up early and get dressed for office. Thinking that I can have a ride, since the past “strike” there is still buses and jeeps that don’t participate in said activity. I guess it wasn’t my luck. After minutes of waiting - NONE! (as in wala) so I decided to go home.

Plan B. I’ll go with my dad. Too bad, his driver was on leave, so he also needs to commute. Wheew!

Plan C. We’ll use our car, (well, my mom usually the one who use it and bring to her office). But the problem is – who’s gonna drive? We tried to call my cousin but he’s not available. *sighs*

I decided not to go to work. Hehe. Online at home, to check some stuffs. My dad called one of his and gives him a ride (It was around 11am).

Really sleepy… Read book ( Gossip Girl, Love it!) Cook and Eat Lunch.

After eating and washing the dishes, I went to sleep.. heheh Really good to have enough sleep.

After waking up, ate cake (black forest) and ice cream (double dutch). Yum.

Prepared dinner. I’m the chef for the day. Hehe..

Wash the dishes again. Watched TV

Sleep-over my aunt house. Cousin Che and I ate some chips and drink ice tea. More chit-chats.. and finally fall asleep.. zzzzzzzz

T.G.I.S

Thank God it’s Saturday! Yehey!

It’s rest day again. A week of tiresome work (doing reports, checking of task, etc). It really feels good to have a rest and away from stress. Wheew! Am I complaining? Hehe.. I guess this is life and need to accept whatever comes my way.. Haha.. Am I starting to talk and say non-sense things again
rolleyes– and for that forgive me, hehe (well, anyways, this my blog I guess I have all the right whatever I want to write or say. Hehewink) I really dunno what gotten to me, maybe am just happy (dunno if its the right term to describe whatever feeling I have right now (weirdo!) ) that I'll have some time off. hehe.. I guess I have to stop my non-sense post here..

Anyways, just wanna say Happy Weekends everyone! Happy Mother's day to all mothers!!!

More stories and update tomorrow..
